This camera is great. I upgraded from a point and shoot, and although I miss the compact size and video capabilities, this camera takes much better photos. If you're an aspiring photographer beginner or a parent like me who want to take great photos of your children, surely a good option. I've read several reviews online for more advanced photographers, it seems, and complained that the plastic body. It feels cheap to me at all. I will be attentive to the purchase of additional lenses later, but for now, this is a great camera.
